Here's a stat that'll blow your mind (at least it did mine):
The average American spent 7 hours on Facebook in January.
If I spent 7 hours doing anything in a single month other than sleep, I'd be really surprised. Which got me thinking - when in the world are people virtually hanging out with all their Friends? And then it came to me.......meetings! (Which, by the way, is such a pet peeve of mine. Texting in a meeting is akin to whispering in class - which used to get me seriously reprimanded back in the day.)
Anyway, comScore reported recently that around 17% of all mobile phone users in the US visit social networking sites regularly.
If people would just stop giving such snoozer Power Point presentations, Facebook might be in serious trouble on the growth front.
