Someone told me yesterday that Hal Riney, the ad industry's version of Hemminway, wrote this iconic tv ad while sipping bourbon. That makes me love it even more.
As the story goes, back in the early 70's a Cleveland Browns "fan" wrote the organization complaining of the potential public menace posed by the then-fad of throwing paper airplanes.
File the Browns' response under, "Just. Plain. Brilliant."
It probably doesn't hurt that I'm a dad of two girls and want them to absolutely kick ass at anything and everything they choose to pursue in life. But even if I had boys, I'd still think this new Nike work is stellar.

Yeah, I think the Wild Turkey, "Give 'em the bird" campaign sucks. But wow....This. Is. Terrible. The campaign's running in Australia for some swill called Alibi Bourbon. I'm pretty sure this is targeting the Walmart shopper.
