the history of Smokey the Bear

Talk about a "quick draw" event. Did you hear about the San Diego fireworks show? The ENTIRE arsenal went off all at once within 10 seconds.

 

Know who probably loved the abbreviated show? Knuckleheads like these....

 

 

And you know there are hundreds of thousands of folks who would've benefitted from a heavy dose of Smokey the Bear PSAs before they burned off their body hair yesterday.

Which got me wondering....where exactly did Smokey the Bear come from?!
